Conflicts arise from differences in values and perspectives.Courtesies are created when bridging cultural gaps. We will look at variables in thinking, decision making, cooperation and relationships, identify contention and look at how disagreements bud and boil over.

Many people wonder what relooking is. We live in a society of image and appearance. We are often judged and categorized at first glance. One's self image is as important as the people looking at you. Therefore we need to be satisfied with our appearance.

The role of the Image Consultant is to help us when there is a problem. The work of an Iimage Consultant is to help us to be at peace with ourselves - in terms of how we look - and to help us to show ourselves to our best positive advantage.

Bronia Kratzheimer is originally from Vienna, Austria and previously worked as a language teacher. She is a ployglot: French, Italian, German and English. She has worked intensively with other relooking consultants and also has a background in the theatre, which contributed to the development of her method.

Pandora Morcas, a multilingual singer songwriter started her showbiz career as a singer and dancer for HAIR in a Greek theatre in Athens. She moved from Greece to France in 1984 and has coached hundreds of students to find joy in singing and creating repertoire as well as accompanying on .

This Saturday, January 20 at 19h30, Pandora will sing early at Chez Cozette, 35 rue de Enviergnes, 75020 Paris . Metro: Pyrénées (Line 11) Her style?: jazzy folky sometimes funky. Pandora’s songs are often about romance and/or about healing the world.

Fondly Remembering The Music Scene From the 60s to Now. In France And US. Paris Soirees Sun 14 Jan

About January 14 - We knew that Bart Bull would be a terrific guest since his work as music editor (SPIN Magazine) and producer, fashion editor (American Vogue) and journalist all involve a lot of PR. Bart was mellow, enthusiastic and knowledgable in a fun way about music scenes everywhere and the French Music scene that night. Francoise Hardy, Jane Birkin, Johnny Halliday and other legendary names rolled off of the his tongue.

We were so happy that Bart and partner Lisa brought along friend and fellow musician Fiachna O'Braonain (I hope the correct Americanization of Irish. If not Fiachna, please forgive us.) Fiachna sang a very moving Irish song to Bart's accompaniment:"Amhrán na Trá Báine" which is Irish (or Gaelic) for " Song of the White Strand". It is a "Sean-Nós" song, a style of singing which goes back to before the written word in Ireland "where very often songs were sung not only for entertainment but also for relaying news, history, and even hearsay and gossip!" Welcome and very unexpected.

Plenty of food. You know those Red Beans and Rice are a staple. Tonight we had a simple meal of French style Roasted Chicked and Filet Mignon of Porc, several French vegetarian dishes. Heaps of hors d'ouvres at the beginning (Fallafel and Spinach appetizers, Smoked Samon Canapes and Guacamole and Chips). We began the evening with a special Southern (US) Cocktail Maison homemade from scratch by Patricia (and of course based of Bourbon. What else?)

As usual, people met people and made new friends. Patricia was delighted to see friend and Historian F. Scott Haine, a past and future speaker after an absence of several months. Scott presented Patricia with a gift of two of his most recent books: "The World of the Paris Café" and "Culture and Customs of France. " Thank you again Scott.

And thank you Bart and Fiachna for adding your warmth and welcoming nature chez Patricia. A fun evening. Patricia rates it amongst the best.

New Year's Eve 2006

I had always wanted to have a New Year's Eve Party, so when New Year's Eve fell on a Sunday – the fixed Paris Soirees Dinner Evening - allez-up!

I guess the people who had the best time were Maura Brannon Linnan and Jim Linnan (pictured in the center of the top left photo with Sylvie and Nathalie). They were in Paris from Albany, NY as part of their honeymoon. Maura organizes music festivals there and Jim's an attorney. The first leg the honeymoon was in Prague, then Paris, then back to the US and then Mexico

The metro ran until 02.30 - so we all had a full night without worrying about how to get home. Everybody put on their CDs and we had some dancing.

My friend Brenda who came all the way from LA to Paris especially for the week-end.

Laurent again the blue shirt gesturing. He helped serve more than anyne else. I don't think that I would have ever gotten out of the kitchen if it hadn't been for him.

New Year's Eve was a blast - even though it meant a lot of kitchen time for me. I was working like crazy but everyone helped - especially serving. I got a lot of visits in the kitchen, especially from smokers who didn't want to gêne (disturb) others.

Thank God I decided t have a full Paris Soirees dinner because an awful lot of bottles of champagne got consumed and that's always better on a full stomach.

I think that my best dish in the world is my pumpkin soup, which I hadn't made in 3 years. I was inspired to make it as a started and it was a big hit. (Followed by Turkey with Wild mushrooms, many other dishes and pastry and ice cream for desert. Lots of calories but kept people sober.)

On New Year's Eve, it's strictly party, party with music and dancing. What a relief not to have introductions (listening to details about people's fab careers and lifestyles). No speaker. Nothing serious. Just fun and champagne.

Just before midnight, Katie Roberts, a very well njazz pianist played for us. We had a pause at midnight, welcomed ion the New Year with hugs, kisses and champagne and then Katie played some more. She was as great as she is lovely.

By this time I could get out of the kitchen and relax and have fun with everyone else.

Pam and Jim, who've been married quite a while, relatively new (2 years) to Paris from Florida - acting like newly weds too.
